Who are we

Who are we

We are a network of Polish and Polish-Palestinian activists with experience of solidarity work in Palestine. Some of us have been to Gaza, the West Bank, refugee camps in Jordan, Lebanon and Syria. We have been moved to action by the injustice we have witnessed.

We broadly come from social justice, eco-action, anti-fascist, trade union and community organising backgrounds.

This is an open and independent group, we are self-funded by our own wages from our own jobs and we are independent of any political parties.

We are defined by action and not rhetoric – this is why the initiative is a campaign and not an organisation.

We have no single spokespeople or leaders – we all take turns and responsibility for organising and representing our collective work.

We take our lead from Palestinian grassroots organisations who since 2005 have been calling for a comprehensive Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions approach as a non-violent and popular means to compel Israel to abide by international law.

Our solidarity activism on the Palestinian issue is one element of a wider struggle many of us are involved in for systemic change and for genuine participatory democracy and social, environmental and economic justice.

Our Aims

To participate in the global justice and Palestine solidarity movement in supporting an end to Israel’s occupation and violations of international law with regards to the Palestinian people both outside and inside occupied Palestine.

To hold the Polish government accountable to its obligations under International and European law with regards to protection of human rights.

To educate the Polish public about the Palestine-Israel conflict and about the Polish as well as international governmental and corporate actors’ roles in relation to this conflict

To actively resist all forms of racism, sexism and religious oppression and discrimination, wherever and by whomever they may be practised.
